Dragons Blood In Me

Introduction

Most of us are living a good life and eased ourselves into believing that since we're good people, bad things can't happen to us. Looking back to September 11, 2001, we've learned, to our horror, that our goodness is not protection from bad things happening to good people. Some things in our environment we can control but, unfortunately, we can't control everything.

One of the things we can control is exposure to the disease, Hepatitis C (HCV). You might be saying to yourself, "I won't get that disease, it's not a threat to me. It can't happen to me because I'm a good person." I thought I was protected because I was a good girl and was raised in a small community. But I caught it anyway; so please invest a few minutes reading about the disease and how to protect yourself. You may eventually be very glad you did.

On the following pages is a brief overview about HCV. If you wish to find out more information, words highlighted in bright red are links that will take you to other sites. These links also support the information presented on my pages. Links to off-site information will open in a new browser; links within this site open in the same window.

This site was not created to confuse you, frighten you, or make you afraid of people who have HCV. The purpose for publishing this web page is to present information on HCV in hopes you will choose to take action to protect yourself against this disease and other blood borne pathogens.

To navigate through this entire site, press "Next" located in the lower right of each page. If you just want specific information, you may press on the words in the navigation bar or at the bottom of each page. Please don't forget to read the legal information (link on the left-hand list) concerning this site.
