German Chocolate Icing

Ingredients:
   2/3 cup sugar
   2 egg yolks
   1/2 tsp. vanilla
   1/2 cup can milk


1/3 cup shortening
1 1/3 cups flake coconut
1 cup chopped pecans


In a medium saucepan combine sugar, milk egg yolks and shortening. Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla, coconut and pecans. Cool 15 min. Spread only between layers and on top of cake.
