Christmas is over now and the New Year's Eve celebrations are still pending. Time to hit the trails and work off the turkey dinner with all the trimmings and get yourself ready for the New Year's Eve feast. A few laps around the Koch trail system should help burn a few calories and get you on your way. If you're like most people your New Year's resolution will probably be to get yourself in better shape. It seems to be the most popular resolution. Cross country skiing will certainly help in that department since it is one of the best activities for burning calories. You also get the benefit of being outdoors in the fresh air and beautiful Labrador sunshine.

A reminder to parents that the Jackrabbit program will resume on Saturday, January 5th at 1 p.m. We will having a waxing clinic on Sunday, January 6th, at the waxing hut. Alf Parsons will be demonstrating basic grip waxing techniques, along with explaining where to apply the wax on your skiis, what wax you use for what temperatures and answering any questions. This clinic would be very helpful to beginner skiers who might be unaware of how to use grip wax. The clinic will begin at 11 a.m. and will cost $5.00 per person with the proceeds going to our Junior Development ski program.

The ski club has several events listed in the new " What's Happening " for the next few months. Please be advised that those events are subject to change and you should call the chalet office to confirm the dates beforehand.

Ski lessons are available through the club and can be booked by calling the chalet office.

See you on the trails.
