There’s no one other,

Quite like our grandmother.

Thank you for being the special person that you are,

Your love for family stretched oh so far.

Nan I know you’re in that magical place above,

Looking down smiling with your unconditional love.

Myself and Joey owe you so much,

You helped raise us from childhood with your gentle touch.
Never cursed a word or saw the back of your palm,

Even when we painted ourselves you remained calm.

Took us to church and lead us in prayer,
Looked your eyes said I'll always be there.

I moved away first then Joey a little later,

But our love for you only grew greater.

Reflecting on memories of our precious past,
The love you gave us will always last.

A selfish little voice said you had to stay,
But today we realize it couldn't be that way.

The last hug and kiss as we cried away,
Tears fell so fast we didn't know what to say.

Thanks Nan for the moments that we did share,
For your nurturing, your love and care.

We will always remember the good times and joys

And Clyde & Joey will always be Nan’s boys
