I often look at your photos, and my eyes fill up with tears

They make me want to go back in time, and relive my younger years

The pictures are of the good times, mom, and show how happy you used to be

The tears are from my memories, of how good you were to me

You were such a peaceful person, kind and considerate in every way

You were full of life and energy, and enjoyed most every day

You saw the good in others, and held a positive view

All of your fourteen children, had the greatest respect for you

You were hardworking and unselfish, and a pillar of strength as well

You were known to me as "Mommy", to others you were known as "Bell"

I would chat with you quite often, in the morning, noon and night

You always knew the words to say, to make me feel alright

We often went for an evening stroll, all around the place

I'd watch you look at the setting sun, with sadness on your face

You said it made you lonesome, to look at the evening sky

It made you remember your loved ones, to whom you had said "Good-bye"

Now that Come Home Year is approaching, I wish that you were here

There's so many things to talk about, so many thoughts to share

There's an emptiness within my heart, that will not go away

I hope that I will see you again, on the other side some day.
