  • 78 of them are unaware this disease may be slowly destroying their liver

  • 42 have no idea how they were infected

  • 21 people will clear the virus on their own

  • 21 to 53 people will develop cirrhosis

  • 3 to 21 people will either require a liver transplant or die of liver failure from cirrhosis or cancer.
